Certifications that actually travel
The BCS (The Chartered Institute for IT) Business Analysis certification pathway is made up of certifications that many UK employers recognize by name. It is a set of credentials from a chartered body, with a structured pathway from Foundation through to the International Diploma in Business Analysis, and it’s built to be portable: valid whether you’re applying from Lagos, London, or anywhere the BCS name is recognised.
That portability matters more for you than for a UK-born career changer. You may not have years of UK work history to lean on. A recognized, verifiable, internationally portable credential does some of that credibility work for you.

“Will UK employers actually recognize a certification I got while based outside the UK?” Yes! BCS certifications are earned through standardized, proctored exams. Where you sat the exam doesn’t change what the certificate says. What matters is that it’s the BCS name on it.

“I don’t have a UK visa/sponsorship yet. Is this still worth doing?” This programme is career training, not immigration advice, and we’re not able to guide you on visa or sponsorship routes. What we can know, however, is that a recognized certification strengthens any application because it’s independently verifiable evidence of your capability, on top of your own experience.
